You might have noticed that more and more of the programs on bestteambuilding.com have that little yellow label beside them that reads “iPads®”.  From our flagship high-tech scavenger hunt SmartHunts® (which uses the proprietary app we created) to culinary competitions like Fiesta Fun!™ and from our many charitable CSR programs to collaborative challenges like Catapult, we now incorporate the latest technology into what we offer.

There are numerous reasons this is a step in the right direction.  It’s green (old-timey scavenger hunts can use a lot of paper and other resources, none of which are necessary when everything’s self-contained in one iPad per team).  It’s streamlined. And most of all, it’s modern and fun! You can’t keep your team moving forward with outdated team building techniques, so we’re always developing, refining, and innovating what we offer. Welcome to the future!

From the moment we ran our high-tech scavenger hunt for the world’s foremost Destination Management Companies at the ADMEI conference in Montreal, glowing feedback has been popping up online.  Here are a couple:

Jill Tate from Boston’s Corinthian Events wrote “SmartHunts® are so much fun! Opening with a SmartHunt® executed by Best Teambuilding, we were forced to make fast friends, explore Montréal (in beyond frigid temperatures) and bring back school supplies and warm clothing to be charitably donated.”

The ADMEI 2013 SmartHunts® Event Kick-Off: Video of the Week

This past weekend in Montreal, hundreds of the world’s top Destination Management Companies gathered at the ADMEI conference, and we here at Best TeamBuilding and Corporate Events were delighted to host the kick-off for the entire weekend: our high-tech, fun-filled team building program SmartHunts®!  It proved the perfect way to introduce attendees to one another, to the venue, and to the surrounding area.

Fourteen teams of DMC executives braved the cold weather (with wind chill, it was well below zero) to explore highlights of the historic city and take part in a wide variety of challenges, all led by our proprietary SmartHunts app on Apple iPads along with our experienced facilitators.  Teams toured Old Montreal, The Underground City, Place des Art, Saint Catherine Street, and The Old Port, in addition to encountering Amazing Chase and A Minute 2 Win It-style stations along the way with customized event-related content.

Check out this video to watch those who plan incredible corporate entertainment be very entertained themselves by this world-class scavenger hunt, as they dance Gangnam Style, share personal stories, succeed at wacky physical tasks, face fun video and photo missions, and much more – all with unmistakable grins on their faces!  We loved getting to show these professionals just what the largest team building company in America can offer.

At the very end of 2012, IMEX offered up its predictions for the big trends in events, meetings, marketing, and incentive travel and we here at Best TeamBuilding® and Corporate Events were delighted but not surprised to find that we are already ahead of the curve, implementing every single one of their predictions for what will be the popular best practices of the industry.

How so? Well, we love meeting planners and DMCs face-to-face to show them our innovative website and trademarked programs, for a start.  And we’re ready to hop on the projected increasing numbers for attendance at corporate events with gamified fun, careful customization, our proprietary SmartHunts app, and a wide variety of socially responsible, charitable, and green options.  As the article states, this all culminates in building credibility and trust, and we couldn’t be more proud to be on the cutting edge, leading the industry into the future!

Biggest Scavenger Hunt Ever?

Just how big can one our high-tech SmartHunts get? Prepare to be wowed. We have the technology – iPads, a proprietary app, and top-notch staff throughout the country – to handle upwards of 750 participants with ease.  Recently, we facilitated a SmartHunt for 16 teams both on foot and using water taxis to play in Baltimore’s Inner-Harbor; our system tracked every team, on land and on sea!  And when we recently were asked if Best TeamBuilding and Corporate Events has the capability to facilitate a SmartHunts program in 6 cities simultaneously, with all the teams competing and communicating in real time with each other, we knew the answer was yes, because we’ve already run incredibly successful multi-city SmartHunts.  As the largest team building company in America, we’re proud to know that we can lead your teams to cohesion and success, whatever the size of your group!

2013 ADMEI Annual Conference!

Best TeamBuilding® and our sister company SmartHunts® will be delivering separate programs at this year’s ADMEI Annual Conference on Feb 7-9 at the Sheraton Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

Did you know Montreal has a second city right underneath it called RESO?

Discover RESO at ADMEI’s opening session with an exciting Conference Kickoff event featuring a high-tech SmartHunt run on Apple iPads that stream text, audio, and video! The event is FREE and starts at 3:00 pm on Thursday the 7th.

Attendees will embark from the Sheraton Centre on an exhilarating, sightseeing hunt that includes many points of interest including RESO, Montreal’s (warm) Underground City, which connects bars, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, shopping malls, hotels, and universities!

On Day 2, Best TeamBuilding partner Roy Charette will deliver our powerful Professional Development program A Manager’s Guide to Coaching and Employee Training beginning at 3:15 pm on Friday the 8th.

This marks our third year as proud sponsors of ADMEI. Best TeamBuilding LLC and SmartHunts LLC will also be holding their semi-annual Partners Meeting at the Sheraton Centre to run concurrently with the ADMEI Annual Conference.

A dozen of our partners and lead facilitators, including our DMC Division Manager, Christine Roberson, will be at the Sheraton Centre from February 6th -10th and we hope to see you all there!
