As the year comes to a close, it’s often a time to feel grateful for what we have – and to share with others who might be less fortunate. Those who take part in our Art of Giving charity event, painting a beautiful multi-panel mural that is then donated to a hospital, shelter, or other local care space, report a myriad of positive results: not only are they humbled to be able to brighten up a nearby facility, but they feel creative and collaborative in the process. Your company helps make a long-term difference, your team connects and succeeds, and the spirit of giving is seamlessly shared. It’s a win-win-win!
“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it.” – H.E. Luccock
Have you seen this article about some of the world records officially broken this year? It’s a beautiful testament to the power of team building; when a group of people serve a singular purpose, amazing things can happen! Case in point, check out the photo of over 2,600 women dancing the kaikottikali in unison in India. Or the one of 28 ladies who squeezed themselves into one modern Mini hatchback. Or the breathtaking sight of Wajima City, Japan, where hundreds of volunteers placed over 20,000 solar lights in a pattern that lights up the mountainside when night falls.
We here at Best TeamBuilding truly believe in the power of teams. We’ve made it our mission to make your team as strong as possible so that you can go off and do what you do, more cohesively, more determinedly, and more spectacularly. Working together can lead to incredible accomplishments, as these world records attest, and we can’t wait to help your team change the world in 2013 and beyond!
Best TeamBuilding’s extraordinary program Competition to Collaboration™ offers your team the opportunity to explore several amazing aspects of corporate improvement: not only will everyone have a blast working together to excel at challenging tasks, but they will also discover the power of sharing their knowledge with each other. So even as they’re jumping for joy and high-fiving each other (see the video below) they’re learning the true meaning of Ken Blanchard’s saying “none of us is as smart as all of us” – and they are bound to apply that improved mindset when back at work. The feedback about this program is incredible!
Know what’s insanely fun? Launching objects both really far and really accurately. Those who’ve dreamt of defending their castle from invaders will find our Catapult teambuilder program a dream come true, and even those who’ve never touched a slingshot in their lives will find it exhilarating, collaborative, and a spectacularly great team building activity.
Our facilitators have seen some simply incredible breakthroughs at Medal Games programs for corporations throughout the country. From desk-bound executives finding physical skills they never knew they had, to quiet introverts giving full-throated cheers when their team beats their best time at an event, the memorable moments are many.
What we often hear, though, is how genuinely touched the winning teams are to receive actual medals colored bronze, silver, and gold. Standing before their peers as a medal on a ribbon is placed over each of their heads in recognition of how spectacularly their team connected, came together, and aced challenge after challenge? That’s what they tell us really sticks with them, even when they’re back at their desks, and we couldn’t be more delighted to hear it.
